Stick a fork in me....

... because I am DONE.  Finished.  Okay, well, officially the term doesn't end until the 29th, but the last assignments that will be graded were all due at midnight tonight, so I'm counting it over with.

By Wednesday I should have my final grades, and assuming nothing horrible happened with the Capstone project, I will have a Bachelor's Degree in Human Resources.  Which is a fancier way of saying a degree in Business Administration with an emphasis on HR.

I still don't know how to feel.  I might know more about that once I get that last grade and figure out my final GPA.  But for now, I feel kind of at loose ends.

There must be only one....

...piano accompanist in all of Hollywood.   And what, you  may be wondering, brought on that particular observation?  Well, I finally am getting to watch the first episode of Bunheads.
In case you didn't know, Bunheads refers to ballet dancers.  Anyway, the first thing I noticed was that the pianist is the same pianist from Glee.  Which brought up the above observation.

Since it's still a few more weeks until Glee season 4 starts, I guess the guy needed off season work?  And what is with Smash being held back for a midseason replacement?

Back to Bunheads, though....

The poor girl's mother in law is a raving lunatic.

And that was the shortest marriage in the history of TV.

It's been a long dry spell...

Well, it's been a good long while since I've had new music to be excited about. I'm sure part of that can be attributed to me having my nose buried in my schoolwork and just not paying attention.  However,  the up side of that is now I seem to have an embarrassment of riches.
There's a lot of my favorite bands that have new album releases either out recently or coming out soon that I was unaware of, having been living under a rock for the past year or so...*grin*.  I've also discovered a few new-to-me artists that I'm very glad to add to my regular playlists.

The tried, true, and loved by me:

Gloriana: A Thousand Miles Left Behind.  Even down a member, I love Gloriana's harmonies.
Little Big Town: Forthcoming album Tornado.  I'm really looking forward to this one. I have all their previous albums and love them all.  Again, it's the harmonies.
Zac Brown Band: Uncaged.  Despite the decidedly un-country album artwork (what were they on??),  this album has some excellent music.

The new-to-me:

Edens Edge:  The single is "Amen".  The album is self-titled.  The harmonies are out of this world.
The Farm, Inc.  By now, The Farm probably isn't news to anyone except me. I fell in love with the single "Home Sweet Home" on first listen, and am anxious to get to hear the rest of the album.

The countdown is on for me to be finished with my degree.  The official end-date of this session's courses is 9/2.   However, as usual, everything is due at the end of Week 7, making my last assignments due on 8/26.   After that - well, beware, because you may be reading a lot more from me.  However, do not expect my posts to be APA cited....
